Lavender Festival!
As many of you know, I like lavender (the flower, the color, the smell & taste!). So when Bonbon called me yesteraday and told me there is a Lavender Festival in Seattle, I got really excited :) It's on July 15-18th in Sequin (ok, so not exactly in Seattle, but close). Anyone else might want to go? You can read more about it on www.lavenderfestival.com. It will be so much fun!

i love lavender too!!! i think there are many other lavender fests in the nation.
i think joe (my college bf)'s parent's vineyard also has a lavender field and an entire collection of lavender products!
much closer in the lovely hill country of texas!
really, what's his parent's vineyard's name? maybe I will take my parent there this weekend. Also, do you want to go sometimes in the aug maybe? but I think the weather of Seattle is much better for the growth of lavender...
yeah you should, although i dont know if the lavender is ready yet. usu the flowers come out in the summer (july/aug)
i still think SEA may be just a bit cold for lavender? not sure! i know they need warm yet temperate climate-- think provence, FR. maybe we should go to provence, but you've been there tho right?
ugh! there page doesnt work right now, but check www.beckervineyards.com periodically maybe it will work. at the mean time, you can look www.texaswinetrails.com/richard_b.htm .
make sure you refer to him as DR. BECKER; he doesnt like it when people call him MR. BECKER. he's richard a. becker, M.D. of nuclear medicine. must use the doc! ;)
oh oops, all that jibberish- the name of the vineyard is becker vineyard. they actually produce pretty decent wines...
I will seriously consider taking my dad there then this weekend if he is interested, I wonder if the website is working now, will go check :)
