Memoir of a Geisha
I went to see Memoir of a Geisha today, it's very good. I think the director did a great job in translate the story into a movie. The only thing I am disappointed about is Ziying Zhang's dance in the movie, in the preview, it looks like it could be amazing, but it didn't live up to my expectation.... I love Gong Li in the movie, so evil that you want to kill her! She is good... Michelle Yeung is BEAUTIFUL in the movie, really like her in Kimono. I recommend everyone to see this movie, but reading the book before is definetly a good idea.

really? maybe i will see it. my friend sharon said to not read the book before going... read it later. hmmph.
well, you can do that after, too, but then it's hard to appreciate some of the small details of the movie.....
Now my next movie is King Kong!
I read the book, but havent seen the movie. dunno what's stopping me. maybe afraid of disappointment.
the book is good tho. read it in one day. really enjoyed it.
hmm, i think i will read the book... just not sure before or after. however, knowing how "fast" i read... it may be 3 yrs later when i finally get to it AND finish it... :(
