How to get a parking spot

Christine, I wish I know this before our SD trip, then it would save us lots of time :P So I went working out last night around 7:15. Right when I get to the parking lot, I saw a space and I was happy since it's hard to find a space around evening. But all of the sudden there is this little girl about 10 years old ran across infront of me and stood in the parking space. I was like what's going on??? She kind of just shrugg her shoulder and wave in another direction. I look over and saw a car coming over. Then I realize the mother driving the car had sent her 10 year old daughter to HOLD the parking space. I was about to honk at the girl but then have second thought, I figure the person I should be honking at is the mother! You know, if you going to send someone to hold the space, at least it should be an adult... Gosh, what are parents thinking nowaday...

To live by myself or get a roommate

I start to think about living situation for the upcoming school year. I am debating between living by myself or get a roommate (just one). The nice thing about living by myself is that I have more freedom in choosing when to study and where. But I don't want to become a loner... On the other hand, it's nice to have another person in the apartment/house to talk to. The problem is that I don't know anyone who is going to Albany Medical College, so I guess it's harder to find a compatible roommate. So much to think about...

I got into Medical School

It came as a surprise as I check email last night, Albany Medical College send me an email telling me that I am accepted for entering class of 2005 and will receive my official acceptance package soon. I am still in shock that I actually got in and going to school in August. This is seriously the weirdest feeling as I was already getting ready to submit my TX applications again. Needless to say, my dad & mom & sisters are very excited yesteraday and we call grandma in Taiwan, too. Andy and his family are also happy for me, David even call to congradulated me, it's very sweet of them :) Right now I am at work, still trying to figure out what I am going to do now. I guess it's still early to make arrangement for August, so I will just keep working and taking care of my mice, and still go volunteering tonight as I always do. It's soooo weird........ but I am very happy and grateful. I want to thank all my family and friends for listening to me complaining for the past years and always support me. I never could have done it without you guys. Thank you :)

Vegetable or Fruit?

I thought tomato belongs to the vegetable catagory, but someone challenge that today. So I searched online for awhile and came across this posting:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Is a tomato a fruit? According to the dictionary it is!
to·mato: soft juicy red or yellow fruit eaten raw or cooked as a vegetable.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What exactly is a fruit?
fruit: fleshy, seed-bearing part of a plant used as food; quantity of these.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Why isn't the tomato a vegetable?
ve·get·able: part of various types of plants eaten as food.

But the funniest argument is that "it was classified this way in 1893 by the Supreme Court for trade reasons (imposing import taxes to protect growers)!" :)

Happy Birthday to me :)

Today I turn 26. It's weird to have a birthday after 25. I feel like I am heading into another era soon. I still remember when I can't wait to turn 16, and now, 10 years have gone by already! It's also around birthday time that I realize how many people love me, like my dad, my mom, my sisters (Yi and Lucy), Andy and many of my friends. Thank you guys for always been there for me (during all my complaining). Life is good because I have all of you :D I am a very happy person today.
